SOLD – Karoline – Sissel Bjørstad Skille – Götz/Gotz/Goetz Collector Doll – Year 2001 – Limited edition – Signed by artist
Karoline was made in Germany in 2001 by well-known Norwegian doll artist Sissel Bjørstad Skille for world-famous doll manufacturer Götz / Gotz / Goetz. Limited edition worldwide # 572/750.
Artist Sissel Bjørstad Skille signed this Karoline (on her belly) while appearing on a doll fair in Stockholm, Sweden in 2002. This makes this particular doll very special. To see a picture of the signature please click here.
She measures approx. 67 cm / 26 inches. She is made of high-quality vinyl (head, arms, part of legs. The cloth body seems to be filled with some kind of plastic pellets/sand.) She is standing/sitting with partly poseable legs and arms.
She has rosy cheeks, blue mouth-blown glass eyes and long blond human hair which is made up in braids with white ribbons. She is wearing a white cotton dress with lace and embroidered dots. Underneath the dress she has a white cotton slip and white cotton stockings. She also wears a beautiful knitted light blue sweather with white pattern in Norwegian style. She wears a white crocheted hat. Her shoes are made of white genuine, very soft leather with light blue flower applications.
Karoline is a lovely doll. A very sweet and thoughtful little girl of about 5–6 years. In the certificate it says "Karoline is a thinker. But in addition to loving poetry, she also loves horses. This portrait of Karoline shows her in deep thought about the world around her, and reflects her sensitive nature."
Karoline comes in perfect condition with tags, certificate and original box. She has had only one grown-up owner/collector and has been living in a non-smoking and pet-free environment.
Karoline is now looking for a new loving home.
