Juliette – Ilse Wippler (original) – Sigikid Collector Club Doll – Year 1995 – Limited edition

Limited edition # 135/750 (28380). Made in Germany.

This absolutely stunning doll was available only to Sigikid club members in the year 1995. The original tag is still attached and it says "Juliette Wippler". "Juliette" is the name of the doll and she is an original doll made by the famous artist Ilse Wippler herself. Ilse Wippler is known to be one of the greatest doll designers ever. This type of Kunstler Puppen (Artist Dolls) was made in the 1990s and are of such rare, incredible quality. Wippler's dolls are exquisite and definitely unforgettable. They always carry her last name. I have learned from a Wippler doll-collector that I.W. had to quit due to arthritic hands, so the dolls made by herself are very after-sought and hard to find.

Juliette is made of high-quality vinyl (head, arms, part of legs. The body is made of cloth with filling). She has a lovely nougat coloured skin, light blond hair and violet blue eyes. She is wearing a wonderful brown dress with black details, shimmering dark brown sea shell buttons both on front and back, and the Sigikid label sewn on the front. Underneath she is wearing black knickers. She has black cotton socks and black shoes. She is also wearing a little necklace and a large black bow in her hair.

The doll measures 70 cm / 27–28 inches. She is loosely made, i.e. she cannot stand by her own, but is a sitting doll.

She was originally sold by a well-known artist doll retailer in Stockholm, Sweden and has had only one owner (grown-up collector). She comes from a non-smoking and pet-free environment.

Juliette is now looking for a new loving home.
