Huge, handsome Maximilian made exclusively by Steiff for The Toy Shoppe (US) in 2003. Limited edition of 1,500 pieces. This is number 1180. White tag and button in ear trademark. Handmade in Germany.
Maximilian is the first member of the family also including Appolonia, Zoë and Little Max, all Toy Shoppe Exclusive editions by Steiff. He measures 80 cm/32 inches and is the largest teddy bear ever recreated by Steiff in this style. Inspired by Steiff's 1906, Style 5380 bear, Maximilian is made of red blond curly mohair. He has a black stitched nose, black shoe button eyes, and a deep, rich growling voice. He is fully jointed for expressive posing and has flat feet to be able to stand up if needed.
This impressive teddy bear comes in perfect condition with box, his own embroidered felt bag and certificate of authenticity.
He has had only one grown up owner and has been living in a pet-free and non-smoking environment. Maximilian is now looking for a new loving home!
