Sterling Silver 925/1000 Medal commemorating H.M. Queen Silvia of Sweden, June 19, 1976 (the date of the Swedish Royal Wedding between H.M. King Carl XVI Gustaf and Miss Silvia Sommerlath). Made in Sweden by AB Sporrong, Norrtälje, Sweden. Design: Sculptor Eva Berggren. Distributed by Hjelm Konstmedaljer AB.
Limited edition of 9,000 pieces. This is No. 133.
Number in consecutive order and issue as well as silver hallmark are stamped on the edge of the medal. After the emission of the medal the punches are destroyed under the supervision of Notarius Publicus, making further issues impossible.
On one side is a portrait of the Queen in profile surrounded by the date of the wedding and the following text "Silvia Sveriges Drottning" ("Silvia Queen of Sweden"). The opposite side is showing the Castle in Heidelberg, Germany, and the text: "Königin von Schweden, Mädchen aus Heidelberg" (Queen of Sweden, Girl of Heidelberg).
The medal measures Ø 4,5 cm / 1,77 inches. It comes mint in box with certificate in Swedish.
