February 11, 2010

I've loaded the site with lots of new items.

Two new categories have been created, Metalware and Numismatics.

In the Metalware section I have added a couple of pewter bowls and a vase, not certainly collectibles per definition, but lovely items. A gilt candle holder made in Sweden has also been added to this category as well as to the Swedish Handicraft category.

In the new Numismatics category, I have listed some Swedish coin-sets and a hand coined replica of a Swedish silver daler from 1542. In the sub-category Medals there are some silver and bronze medals commemorating the Swedish Royalties: Carl XVI Gustaf, King of Sweden, and Silvia, Queen of Sweden, and the Swedish Royal Wedding in 1976. There is also a medal commemorating the International Stamp Exhibition STOCKHOLMIA 74. This 1974 stamp exhibition is also commemorated in a plate by Danish Porcelain manufacturer Bing & Grøndahl. It's called Viking Ship.

A quite out of the ordinary, very large and retro-style ceramic sculpture made in USSR has been added to Figurines & Sculptures. Further a mug from Swedish Hackefors commemorating Swedish King Gustaf VI Adolf, two wonderful egg-cups in the gorgeous Kalevala series by Finnish Arabia and finally a Sylvanian Families / Calico Critters rowing boat with accessories.

January 31, 2010

On January 30th I experienced a huge problem with the website. Finally I got it solved and now it seems to be up and running as usual.

I've altered the Shop-Window video on the Home page. Featured now are items for your Valentine!

For those interested, I've added a little SHARE button from addthis.com. You'll find it in the left sidebar on every page, right above the Sandvox icon (bottom pagelet).

New items!

Plates: I've just added a lot of lovely Mini Plates from Finnish manufacturer Arabia. They all measure approx. 12 cm / 4,72 inches. The motifs are Swedish Landscapes, Lappland Scenes, Flowers, and Christmas.

Cups: A beautiful Mother's Day Cup from Arabia, Finland.

Sculptures: A stunning full lead crystal Panda Bear in a signed and numbered edition from glass manufacturer Royal Krona, Sweden.

Trinket Boxes: A romantic pink porcelain Trinket Box with flower décor and gold applications.

Pots: A very nice stoneware pot with a Lily of the Valley décor on both sides.

January 2010

I added a pagelet to the Home page where you can see the brands, artists and manufacturers currently available on this website.

The search function in the left sidebar on every page is a so called Google site-search. It searches within this site. When you click on the search button you will get to a Google search page showing everything available on this website according to your search word.

New items in January are:

Gorgeous Teddy Bears: Five UK Baby Bears 1994–1998 (EAN 654695) from Steiff, two cuddly limited editions from Hermann Teddy Original, one cute miniature teddy from Dean's Rag Book Co., and a definitely unique little chap from Swedish artist Gunilla M. von Corswant.

Exquisite limited edition Table Bells in ornamental art déco style from Studio Steinböck.

Wonderul Figurines: An Eskimo Girl (white edition) from Lladró, "Adam" and "Eva" by  Swedish designer Lisa Larsson for Gustavsberg, and an amazing John Bauer Troll from Swedish handicraft manufacturer Rosa Ljung.
